The age of online gaming had officially reached its pinnacle. The release of The World 2.0 in 2014 had sold over 2.5 billion copies world wide. Yet, and much like the original release, the game was short lived. It was as if the game itself was haunted by an unknown entity living within the system. No matter how many times the game's creators started from scratch, the bugs within the games code continued to multiply until TW 2.0 eventually became unplayable. For the second time in games history, the CC(CyberConnect) Corporation went bankrupt. The timing of CC's bankruptcy seemed to be suspiciously linked with the rising of IlluionaryVissions, a gaming company led by billionaire and CEO Adam Willson. IV had first began rapidly purchasing CC's stock as far back as 2012...
By 2020, The World had been completely redone. Every portion of the game's engine had been built from scratch by the best minds that money could by. VI had sunk countless millions into revamping the game. Its message to the online community was that The World was now perfect and ready to be tested.
Jin Kazama, aka 'SlayerofMen' lazily sat up from his desk. He had spent the last 12 hours glued to his computer screen. Only a few 5,000 players would be granted early access to The World 3.0. Jin was determined to be among the first to experience what IV called, 'the destination of gaming.' "Almost time..." Jin mumbled while wiping a little drool from the left side of his cheek. The anticipation was killing him! He'd been waiting for the TW 3.0's release for a whole 2 years! He had already bought the best gaming rig he could get his hands on. There was no way he'd settle playing TW on anything but its max settings. His sister had left him about 15 voicemails over the last few days. She pleaded with her brother to, 'get a life' or 'get off his ass.' Ha! Without games, there could be no life!
Suddenly, an email notification popped on Jin's desktop. His eyes suddenly shot wide open! He could feel the ten cups of coffee he had chugged finally kicking in! Carefully, Jin opened the email. His body started to shake with anticipation, or was it the caffeine? Either way, Jin was ready. His eyes scanned over the contents of the email till he came to the final paragraph. "Congratulations..you've been accepted...FUCK YES!!!" Jin screamed as loudly as he could. He quickly clicked on the link provided which brought up the game's log on page. "Please connect your headset.." Jin read aloud. With a huge grin, Jin picked up his headset and placed the machine over his head. Once he was connected, he brought up to another log on page.

Suddenly, every nerve within Jin's body tingled. He could feel his body, no..his soul, passing through the gates of virtual reality! Taste, touch, smell...Jin had all his senses. No, if anything they seemed to be stronger thanks to the headset which monitored his brain waves. A few seconds later, Jin was brought to a brief character customization page. Creating his character took only minutes. Jin had been dreaming of this day for far too long. "Lets see..Beast Race obviously. Class...heh Knuckle Master." Jin grinned. Any n00b could use a weapon. Only the pros fought with their firsts.
Once Jin's character was complete, Jin was again transferred through another gate. His grin widened even more once he was brought to the game's starting area. Slayer looked around. Everything felt so real. He could even smell the scent of wood being burned in the stoves of a few shops. With a huge grin, Slayer cracked his knuckles. His first task would be to level up in preparation for the game's first low level Dungeon, Bloodthirst Mine...
