The second idea I have is based in a fantasy based world where magic exists. The world is somewhat based off Assassin's Creed.
In this world, there are normal humans and those who can use magic. Among the magic users there are normal magic users and elemental magic users. The elemental magic users are those born under one of the four animal guardians.
Blue Dragon - Water - East
Red Phoenix - Fire - South
White Tiger - Air - West
Black Tortoise - Earth - North
If someone is able to use elemental magic, it means they were born under a day celebrating that animal. So if that person can use water for example, they were born on a day celebrating the Blue Dragon of the East. Same goes for the other elements.
The plot to this role-play is that there are four nations, each representing one of the four animal guardians (almost like Avatar the last Airbender, if familiar). Despite each of these nations holding their own culture and independence, one man steps up with an formidable army and enslaves all four nations beneath his tyrannical rule. This man's objective is to eliminate all magic users, especially the elementals. Anyone with the ability to use magic are born with colored markings on their body (Water elementals born with blue markings, fire born with red, ect...) and must conceal their markings and go into hiding in order to survive.
One woman, a fire elemental, stands her ground however. She sweeps through this man's henchmen, working to destroy his hold over the four nations and allow magic users to gain back their freedom. But regular citizens of the four nations have begun to turn their backs on the magic users out of fear, deeming them dangerous and bad luck.
This woman, this fire elemental, who stands her ground has taken up wearing a mask with an elegantly painted skull pattern to hide her identity. But one night, as she narrowly escapes magic hunters, her mask cracks and falls from her face and a man, also a magic user, sees her true identity. But instead of using that against her, he agrees with her mission and joins her.
