The Unwilling Guardian (Open/Female)

Rei had been watching some of the news, something about a six year old getting beaten to death last week in a small town not far from here. She shuddered knowing that if that was her kid then she would probably break and lose it all, after all; family was her number one priority. "Thank you mother" she said softly as she finished up her breakfast in the peace and quiet but she then jumped when she heard Zane's voice. Quickly turning around, she blinked and then gave a small nod "Yes, very much so. Let's get going, don't want to me late" she said softly as she then walked over to him and carefully took a hold of his hands. Dragging him out of the house and to the limo where the butler would take them to the dance lessons down town. "So, Zane... how was your morning?" she asked quietly as she let go of his hands.

Zane saw the girl finally enter. But she soon retreated to the living room to watch TV. She had seemed isolated. But Zane couldn't judge. He preffered to be lonely as well. Zane stood quietly and walked to the living room and straight out the door. Walking over to the bottem of the porch he sat down enjoying the sun and warmth. Rei's mother followed after him but had noticed he wasn't running away. "Oooh, this Anima sure is not enjoying it here." she had said with an upset tone. The father walked in standing at the doorway. "He will see in time that he will be treated as family. I wouldn't worry too much." with that he left upstairs to begin his work. The mother sighed. "Rei, You have a good day." she said happily before she left to the upstairs as well.
Zane watched the birds flying overhead. He was amused by them. He stood stretching. He wondered how this dancing class would go. After giving Rei sometime to eat he walked back into the house and smiled to her. "Are you ready to leave?" he asked curiously.

Rei was grateful when Zane opened the door for her, she then blushed a bit when she noticed how flustered he was getting; maybe she had better come back later she thought as she watched the door shut. She laughed softly when she heard him and nodded a bit “Alright, just wanted to let you know that breakfast is ready so I’ll see you downstairs” she said before heading into her room. Shutting the door behind her before dropping the towel and getting dressed for the day, she wore nice matching lace undies and bra then grabbed a black skirt and white dress shirt with some gold jewelry. She did not bother doing too much with her hair as she made sure that when she put the skirt and dress shirt on she was pretty close to where she wanted to be. Rei could not wait to get her dancing lessons started, but first, breakfast would be needed. She stepped out of her bedroom and gracefully moved downstairs to notice everyone was awake and enjoying their morning , her eyes scanned over everyone to see how happy they were. “Good morning Rei!” a young woman said as she greeted Rei with a hug before rushing off to the kitchen to make tea. Rei moved over to the table but she grabbed a small bowl of fruit and headed into the living room to turn on the TV and check the news.

Zane felt the sun's rays sneak through the window. He hated day time. Like Cats themselves he was rather a nocturnal anima. He layed in bed for a few minutes until lazily rolling out of it. He had gotten tangled in the sheets. "Mmph." he mumbled as he stood shaking to make the sheets slide down. He heard Rei at his door. "Y-Yes?!" he called walking to it. He opened the door widely to see Rei. The girl was wet, and had only a towel covering her. Zane's ears perked up and the boy blushed crazily shutting the door. "Is she trying to tease me?!" he asked aloud. Then He stopped for a moment realizing that Rei had most likely heard him. "Uhm...damn...I-I'll be down stairs soon." he had said through the door. He ran back to the bed picking the sheets up off the ground throwing them on the bed. This girl really was something else. After he decided he calmed down enough he walked out of his room. Nervously heading downstairs to meet Rei's mother and father for breakfast. Most of their maids and butlers were there as well. Most of the servants were anima too. "You'd think one would be enough." he thought. He sighed as he saw how happy they looked. "Good Morning Zane." Rei's father greeted happily. "Good Morning.." he replied tiredly. The boy sat down at the table. Uncomfortable. and Out of place.

Rei made sure that everything was off, her laptop, cell phone, radio. everything. Though one of her windows was cracked a bit to let the cool air in to circle around the room during the night. She got undressed then put a nice short gown on that hugged her body perfectly. It was not long before she relaxed in her comfortable bed and fell asleep into a deep slumber. It was not long at all before the sun came to rise, she could hear the foot steps rushing around downstairs and a small voice came from her bedroom door telling her that breakfast was ready. She nodded lightly and mumbled a thanks before opening her eyes and jumping out of bed, she headed out of her bedroom and into the bathroom. Shutting the door behind her before jumping into the shower, after her shower. She wrapped a towel around herself and sneaked out to the hallway where she then stopped at Zane's bedroom door and knocked on it. "Zane?" she said softly as she wondered if she had woken him up.

Rei's dad smiled happily. He was glad that she approved of Zane. "Yes, I hope that he likes it here." he said as he looked to his daughter. "Try not to make the Anima too nervous ok? He seems a bit skittish." Her father laughed. The older man bid good night. And had left to his Study. Zane was in his room resting on the bed. It was soft, not as soft as Rei's but it was better than a metal cage. He decided to take a shower, once out he dressed himself and got dried off. The Anima sighed as he fell back on the bed, beginning to fall asleep.

Rei could not help but to laugh softly at how nervous she had made him, but she liked to keep him on his toes so she would test him every day with different things. She nodded lightly as she then watched him head out of her bedroom “I’ll be sure to come knocking on your door in case I want to talk or anything” she said as she studied the way he walked before carefully closing her window knowing that was enough for a while as she did not need her room freezing cold for night. She jumped a bit though when she heard the knock at the door but she relaxed when she saw her father, she wondered where her mother was but she did not bother questioning it. “Yes, He’s perfect” she muttered softly as she began to take off the accessories that she was wearing on her clothing and body; putting everything in a safe that was hidden within the wall behind a painting. “He’s a good addition to the family. Tomorrow will be a new start for him from his former caged life” she said as she locked the safe back up and sat down on her bed, playing with her long hair trying to figure out what she should do with it tomorrow. Perhaps I should do a mermaid braid with some flowers… she thought as she kept her eyes on her father.

Zane had nodded listening to Rei. She had said he could sleep in the room. The young man immediately jumped off the bed. "No, that's fine.." he had said nervously. The anima had walked over to feel the breeze. He had smiled enjoying it. When she mentioned Dance Class Zane thought for a moment. "I don't dance." he said sternly. "But I'm sure we'll both still have fun." he said looking outside. Rei had tried to make Zane feel free as possible. He moved his hand over his hair fixing it the way he liked it after the breeze messed his hair up a little bit. "Well, I suppose I should go see my room now." he had said with his serious look. His room was across from Rei's. "If you need anything or would just like to talk, I'm across from you." He said happily. The Anima turned walking to his new room. After a moment Rei's father knocked on the door and walked in. "So, do you like him? The auctioneer said he was much stronger than he looked." Her father said with a smile.

Rei stared at the piece of paper for a good minute before picking up a pen and added on some small detail that put it all together really well. She put the pen back to its original spot before stretching her arms out as well as her back, trying to figure out how she could make this easier for Zane to adapt into this situation. “Thank you, It’s part of my great-great-grandmother’s name” she said softly at the compliment with a small smile forming on her face. Slowly she got off the chair and walked over to her biggest window; opening it to let the cool air come in. It was a gentle breeze that flowed around the room as she stood there staring out at the back yard, beside the window was a willow tree that she used to get in and out on late nights when she was younger. “Well…” she said quietly as she glanced over at him and noticed how he was reacting to laying on the bed “If you wish, you can sleep here or you can sleep in the guest bedroom; mind you the guest bed isn’t as comfy as mine because mine is custom made. I’m trying to figure out how to make this easier on you, perhaps you should earn money each day for all that you do? It’ll be like a job but you’ll have everything you need here in this house, food, shelter, warmth, water… “ she muttered as she then snapped her fingers “Oh, I start dancing lessons tomorrow so I guess you’ll be coming to watch then huh..” she said as she then shrugged lightly “if you get asked if you want to join, you don’t have to if you don’t want to but you can if you wish” she muttered; wanting to give him a choice.

Zane kept his forced smile. Rei finally answered the door. Zane noticed immediately how, well, gorgous the girl was. His ears lowered as his eyes dropped. She had said it was ok if he hadn't wanted to smile. She knew he wasn't thrilled about being a slave, no matter what they wished to call it, Slave fit perfectly. "Well... at least she isn't a brat." he thought. He followed her into the room lightly closing the door, keeping it cracked open. The room was nice, even for a girl. Rei had seemed like an 'Earthy' human. Which Zane hadn't minded. Most anima's were this way. Rei had thanked him, for taking this unwanted job. He looked past her. "Hey, it's what I was purchased for." he had said with a fake smile that quickly faded. He walked over to the bed looking down at it. He had slept in cages for the past two or three months. Zane hadn't even thought about it. He jumped on the bed laying on his back he stretched out. He seemed to have a satisfied look. "This house...I would love it here if it were with someone I liked." He thought. "So, your name is Rei? That's an uh...nice name." he tried to compliment. Though he felt awkward. Maybe it was her beauty. He looked to Rei. "Is there anything you'd like to tell me?" he asked her with a smile, a genuine yet nervous smile.

It had been a long, boring day. She had really nothing to do but to stick around her home and do her regular activities. She really did love her home but she found it quite boring at times and it made her think that she might be better off to go and get her own place  at some point. Rearranging her room for the third time today, she finally got to it where she liked it and sat down at her desk staring at the pieces of papers and pens that were laying there ready to be used. Rei had no idea where her parents went to but it was not like she really cared too much anyways so she brushed it off like it was nothing and began to draw on the first piece of paper, it was not long before she heard footsteps and then a unfamiliar male voice from the other side of the door. Carefully she put down the pen she was using and got up from her chair, brushing herself off before making her way closer to the door. How strange, a male in the house with my parents permission? What are they trying to do, marry me off?! She thought as she listened to this ‘Zane’ male closely. Playing with her long raven hair as she decided whether or not to open the door and greet the man back, when she finally did make up her mind she stopped playing with her hair and she slowly opened the door a bit just enough so she could peek outside to see him but when she realized that he was not armed she opened the door all the way to reveal most of her room and all of her. Her clothing was homemade that was for sure but extremely beautiful on her, making her ivory skin and crystal blue eyes stand out. Her body was a slender frame, standing at 5”7. She had four pieces of gold on her body, one on each ankle and one on each of her arms; it almost looked like the accessories were past down in the family as they looked old and had a familiar crest on them that would have been seen from the pictures in the house or family items in the house. Rei looked no older than twenty years old as she studied the man standing before her, she then snapped out of it and glanced around to see if this was some type of joke but when she noticed it wasn’t she gave a small sigh and bit her bottom lip. “Zane. Nice to meet you, I’m Rei.” She muttered softly as she frowned when she took note on how forced his smile was “You don’t have to smile if you don’t want to Zane. It’s not like I’ll shove your face in the mud if you don’t smile, that would be a bitch move” she whispered the last part before heading  back over to where she had been sitting before; leaving the invitation for Zane to come in if he so wished. Rei sat there in the large chair elegantly as she stared at the picture she drew for her tattoo that she wanted to get “You’re probably not happy about this, but I want to thank you” she said softly as she hoped he took the invitation to come in and sit down. The room was large, the walls were a shade between a light purple and white. A walk in closet, lots of windows, a large king sized bed that was custom made to be round and so it spun as well, a medium wooden table with a laptop and some paper work on it with a nice chair that looked comfy but old. In the corners of her room were instruments, everything but the drums as she disliked the drums for some reason.

(I suppose this is self explainitory. But your character is the daughter and is very wealthy in a city that's facing many, many problems. It is her birthday and so her parents have bought my character for her. She can be however you like, whether she's bratty because she is spoiled, or nice or anything, that is fine.
